NAZA trailer
A first look at NAZA, the documentary in which 24 Israeli intelligence officers describe how the killing of civilians in Gaza was calculated and approved.
What the trailer shows
The trailer opens on Tel Aviv at night, seen from above: the city where the film was shot, on rooftops, between 2023 and 2025. It carries the laurels of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, where NAZA won the Special Jury Prize, and of the 64th New York Film Festival.
In the film itself, the interviewees appear only as dark silhouettes and their voices are distorted to protect their identities.
About the film
NAZA is Israeli military slang for collateral damage. According to the officers in the film, every potential target was given a NAZA value: the number of civilians expected to die in a strike on it. Directed by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, the co-directors of the Oscar-winning No Other Land, and produced by The Guardian.
