NAZA is not NASA: the documentary, not the space agency
Looking for the NAZA documentary? NAZA (with a Z) is the 2026 film by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor about Israel's targeting of civilians in Gaza. It has nothing to do with space.
Not a space film
NAZA is not NASA, not a space movie and not a franchise. It is a 2026 documentary in which 24 Israeli intelligence officers and soldiers describe how civilian deaths in Gaza were calculated and approved.
What the title means
"Naza" is Israeli military slang for collateral damage: the number of civilians an officer is permitted to kill in a strike.
Who made it
NAZA is directed by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, the Israeli co-directors of the Oscar-winning No Other Land, and produced by The Guardian with executive producer Jonathan Glazer. It won the Special Jury Prize at the 2026 Venice Film Festival.
How to find it
Search for "NAZA documentary" or "NAZA film". It is in cinemas in 56 territories, and The Guardian will stream it free worldwide after the cinema run.

„Naza” to izraelski wojskowy żargon oznaczający straty uboczne: liczbę cywilów, których oficer może zabić w ataku. W tym dokumencie 24 izraelskich oficerów wywiadu i żołnierzy, wielu z najbardziej prestiżowych jednostek armii, wyjaśnia, jak tę liczbę w Gazie ustalano, zatwierdzano i przekraczano. Ich twarze i głosy są zmienione.
